The Slants: Concert and Conversation
Join ºìÌÒÊÓƵ for a free concert and conversation by The Slants — the first and only Asian-American dance rock band in the world. On May 10, the Slants will perform a few songs and also discuss their Supreme Court case, Lee v. Tam, where they’re arguing the constitutional right to trademark their name. The PTO initially denied their application, citing the Disparaging Provision, which includes “scandalous, immoral, or disparaging marks.â€
The Slants will offer two sessions, a lunchtime performance and talk, and an afternoon CLE.Â
