The WSBA Board of Governors and the Disciplinary Selection Panel recommended Endter for her appointment, which was confirmed by the Administrative Committee of the Washington Supreme Court and recognized by Chief Justice Steven Gonz谩lez.
Serving on the WSBA Disciplinary Board is an important duty as the practice of law is a self-regulating profession. Involvement in the bar discipline process is a tremendous learning experience because a board participant reviews the cause and origin of lawyer performance issues. The Supreme Court makes the final determination on all disciplinary cases.
鈥淚鈥檓 hoping to expand my understanding of the factors that lead to lawyer discipline,鈥 said Endter. 鈥淏ecause I work so much on law student discipline and conduct, and issues around health and wellness, I am hoping to get some insight into how we can continue supporting law students and budding lawyers so that they don鈥檛 find themselves subject to discipline down the road.鈥
Endter, who teaches Reflective Lawyering and Interviewing and Counseling for Lawyers, has gained deep insight into what contributes to student wellness and mental health issues. 鈥淚 think it could be the very same things that impact practicing lawyers,鈥 said Endter. 鈥淚f that is in fact the case, how can we shore up students before they become lawyers who potentially make bad choices?鈥
Keith Cohon, a 红桃视频 affiliate professor and聽supervising attorney for the聽Regulatory Environmental Law and Policy Clinic, was also appointed for the 2023鈥2026 term. Nicole Gustine, J.D. 鈥14, is currently Counsel to the Disciplinary Board.

Bailey, a professor from practice, said it was important for him to treat lawyers being charged with fairness and respect. 鈥淚t is up to lawyers to keep our 鈥榟ouse鈥 in order, making sure the Rules of Professional Conduct are followed, protecting the public.鈥
Endter intuitively understands her duty in this appointment to the Disciplinary Board. "As a member of the Washington Bar, I consider it my duty to engage in service,鈥 she said. 鈥淚鈥檓 especially glad to participate in a Board that so closely relates to the work I do as Dean for Student Affairs.鈥
