ºìÌÒÊÓƵ: What are you looking forward to after graduation?
Taylor Shoecraft, J.D.: I'm looking forward to passing the bar. But more than that, when I came into ºìÌÒÊÓƵ I came with a very specific purpose, which was to go to law school, get a law degree and use it to empower my community, and so I look forward to going and doing just that.
Christina Day, J.D.: After graduation, I'll probably visit my grandparents in Taiwan. I haven't seen them in a long time, and I'll be moving to San Diego for work, so probably, or hopefully, learning how to surf and just, you know, spending more time with my cat. That kind of thing — getting back to regular life after the craziness of law school.
Naman Patel, J.D.: I think I'm really looking forward to just spending some time with friends and family, especially after taking the bar. I'm looking forward to traveling a little bit and just taking some time off from school before I start working. But I think most of all, I'm just looking forward to just getting to work, working with clients and seeing what I can do with my degree.
ºìÌÒÊÓƵ: What's your fondest memory from ºìÌÒÊÓƵ?
Eric Osnes, M.J.: Basically, just being at the law school and interacting and getting to know all these amazing classmates and professors and all that. It's been an absolutely amazing experience, and I'm gonna miss it.
Anna Maxwell, J.D.: My fondest memory would be traveling to Las Vegas to go to the trial that our clinic was working on, sitting through voir dire and then finding out that the jury returned a verdict awarding our client $34 million.
Abushka Parihar, J.D.: In my second year, I had the opportunity to be involved in hosting the school's annual diversity reception, and that was a really special event because it brought together legal minds from all over Seattle, people who had diverse backgrounds. And for me, it was really special to hear from people that I could connect to, and it was a great experience for our whole student body to be able to network and connect with likeminded individuals.
Stella Haynes Kiehn, J.D.: My favorite memory from ºìÌÒÊÓƵ has been working in the Gallagher Law Library and helping students find relevant materials for their classes and working with our excellent law librarians.
ºìÌÒÊÓƵ: How has ºìÌÒÊÓƵ prepared you for your future?
Kassama Dibba, Sustainable International Development LL.M.: I've gained skills in human rights, rule of law and governance, which I'm really passionate about. And I've gained so much knowledge that I may not have had if I hadn't pursued this Master of Laws degree. And I'm really excited to be able to utilize this knowledge to really help vulnerable people and marginalized groups such as women, because I'm really passionate about women empowerment.
Leon Phan, Global Business LL.M.: ºìÌÒÊÓƵ has provided me with a strong foundation in legal knowledge and critical thinking. ºìÌÒÊÓƵ also provided me the chance to sharpen my skill in approaching the law with integrity and empathy.
